1. Log a move

Any move counts — yours doesn't have to match theirs.

Choose a movement category, log the duration and effort that suit you, and see the momentum you're building with your Tandem. Your partner might lift weights while you go for a walk — both moves count.

  2. See shared progress

Watch your week add up, side by side.

Your Progress screen shows the days you moved this week, your shared streak and your movement mix, so you can see how your week is going alongside your Tandem — without needing to train together.

What staying connected looks like

Everyday movement, not identical workouts.

Fitandem is built for real life and everyday movement, not matching gym schedules or training plans. If you're making a plan together, read our guide to staying accountable with a workout partner.

One chosen Tandem

Connect with a single partner using a simple code — no group chats, no juggling several accountability partners.

Movement logging

Log arms, legs, cardio, core, full body or mobility sessions in whatever way fits your day.

Shared Streak

Watch your streak grow when you both move on the same day, whatever that movement looks like.

Friendly nudges

Send a nudge to check in on each other without needing to plan a joint session.

Frequently asked

A few useful things to know.

Quick answers about exercising with a workout partner in Fitandem.

Does my workout partner need to do the same exercise as me?

No. Fitandem tracks each person's own moves — categories, duration and effort — so a run and a strength session on the same day both count toward your Shared Streak.

Can I connect with more than one person?

Fitandem is designed around staying active with people you know, using Tandems to share progress, streaks and encouragement.

Do we need to be free at the same time to exercise?

No. You each log your own move whenever it suits you — the streak only needs both of you to move on the same day, not at the same time.

Is a workout partner required to use Fitandem?

No, you can use Fitandem on your own to log movement and track progress, but Tandems, Shared Streak and nudges only work once you've connected with one other person.
